Just a reminder…
We have a quiz scheduled for tomorrow. If the weather is bad and we don’t have school, you’ll need to be prepared for the quiz on Thursday instead. The textbook is online in case you “forgot” to bring it home for studying. (Not that you waited until the last minute (tonight) to study or anything…)
Enjoy the snow!

Six week progress reports are being distributed during Flex Time tomorrow! (Aren’t you excited?)
I just emailed detailed progress reports for your reading pleasure. Be sure to read the notes section at the bottom. These grades reflect the progress report you’ll receive during flex tomorrow. If you did not receive one:
- Check all of your email addresses.
- Check your spam/junk mail folder. (If the email got caught in your spam folder, add my email addresses to your address book or whitelist.)
- or Check ParentConnect.
If you know for a fact that you are not receiving progress reports from me, send me an email address so I can add you.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Bring Your Calculator!
No:
- It cannot have communication capabilities (no cell phones, iPods)
- It cannot store information (cell phones, iPods, graphing calculators)
- It must be yours (no sharing)
Yes:
- If you buy a cheap calculator, I will keep it in a drawer for you (put your name on it)
- These are the same rules I’ve been talking about all along… (and I’m losing my voice)
Click here if you don’t know when to bring it or why I’m reminding you again. (hint: Thursday)
Also: Some people are still not using the four steps (GUES) taught in class. I put a URL on the last two quizzes for some people. As of now, nobody has followed that link. Don’t expect me to keep giving partial credit if you are not going to try what I ask of you.

The weather just isn’t cooperating – it’s supposed to be cold and raining on Tuesday. Plan on our outdoor activity tomorrow (Monday) instead of Tuesday.
As of Sunday afternoon, Monday looks like it’s going to be in the low 30’s first & second period and the 40’s for the rest of the classes. Click here for the latest weather forecast.

Are you ready for the Naked Egg Performance Assessment tomorrow?
Here is what you need to have ready for tomorrow!
- the right amount of paper – computer or notebook
- scotch tape (I seriously don’t have any)
- the PreLab questions from your Performance Assessment handout completed – get my initials!
I will provide the eggs! (do not bring one)
Don’t forget – nobody cares whether or not your container can survive. It’s the egg we all want to see survive! (yes, that’s a hint)
Here are the handouts if you need ‘em: Naked Egg Drop | Naked Egg Drop Honors

Are you ready to drop a Naked Egg yet?
Today’s video (High Speed Impacts) had lots of good information on how to help your egg survive.
Hugh DeHaven is the guy who developed principles for safe packaging. Your egg won’t be in a package, but the principles still apply! You’ll be using gravity to accelerate your egg, but wouldn’t a rocket sled be cool?
* No, you haven’t been given directions for the Naked Egg Performance Assessment – yet.
