As hard as it is to wait for that first day of summer, there are a few things you should not wait for!
Grades: At least you didn’t wait until the end of the semester to make something up from January, right? I emailed progress reports yesterday afternoon and posted grades (by student ID) on the wall of the classroom. Check your grades! Believe it or not, there are still some things on the No Name Wall of Shame! Everything on that wall will go straight to the circular file at the end of the semester! (sorry, no more cat links) And please, please, please, read the notes at the end of the progress reports. Most questions are answered there.
EOCT: End of Course Test (EOCT) scores are not in yet. Once I get the results I’ll enter them in the computer, email progress reports and post updated grades.
Honors Projects: If there is any artwork from your project that you’d like to keep, please pick it up by the end of the day today.
Books: Please turn in your textbooks. You can put them in the classroom or turn them in to Mrs. Price.
Since the Late Work Pass is due next Friday, a lot of you will need time to make up your work. I have two makeup sessions scheduled next week, but I’ll need some time to prepare your work.
Makeup Sessions:
Tuesday, May 4th, 7:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 6th, 3:30 p.m.
Schedule what and when with me ASAP! Walk-ins may not be accepted.
If you have something to turn in late, you need to hurry or it’s really going to be late! (really = no credit! zip! zero! cero! nul! sero!)
The late work pass is due next Friday!! (May 7th)
Read the directions on the pass. If you don’t follow all of the directions I will not accept it.
New! You can use the Late Work Pass for some extra credit if you aren’t missing any work!
You may not turn in the Late Work Pass Late!
Why are you still reading this? Go get the Late Work Pass!
An important email from administration:
This is a good time to remind your students of the recovery policy:
RECOVERY POLICY
Grade recovery opportunities will be allowed if a student’s performance indicates a significant decline in achievement or a failing cumulative average. Students are responsible for contacting the teacher concerning recovery opportunities. Teachers will establish a reasonable time for recovery work to be completed. All recovery work must be completed by May 7, 2010, ten school days prior to the end of the semester.
Recovery is not for the student who has been failing for many weeks, then wishes to recover during the final days of a course.
Students must complete all required work before recovery can be initiated. If a student has any “zeros” then he/she is not eligible for recovery until such assignments are complete (if the student is eligible to complete the assignment).
(update: If you were using Internet Explorer this page should show up properly now. You’d think that Microsoft Outlook would all a cut & paste into an HTML document and Microsoft Internet Explorer would be able to handle it. But no….. Ok, I digress. But seriously – try Firefox or Safari.)
I just emailed progress reports out again. (No, it isn’t one of the official times – it just makes more sense to stay on top of your grades frequently.)
As usual, if you didn’t get the progress report in your email:
I also killed a bunch of trees (printed copies to hand out) for your convenience.
Please read the notes at the bottom of the page. It took a lot of bananas to get the monkeys to type out something to answer (most of) your questions.

Six week progress reports are being distributed during Flex Time tomorrow! (Aren’t you excited?)
I just emailed detailed progress reports for your reading pleasure. Be sure to read the notes section at the bottom. These grades reflect the progress report you’ll receive during flex tomorrow. If you did not receive one:
If you know for a fact that you are not receiving progress reports from me, send me an email address so I can add you.

Missing any grades? Forgot to turn something in? (i.e., your dog ate it) Missed an appointment for make up work? Check Parent Connect if you’re not sure!
It’s due the Tuesday after Thanksgiving break. Unless memaw has high speed Internet, don’t wait until Thanksgiving break to get it done!
